The Premium Beauty News team once again hit the aisles of Luxe Pack Monaco to uncover the newest trends and innovations in high-end packaging for perfumes and cosmetics. Here is a short selection!

1. Albéa’s EcoSlim Top blends lightness and seduction

Building on the EcoFusion Top tube, Albéa now introduces a solution with a less disruptive design — one that may be more appealing to brands seeking material-efficient options while maintaining a more traditional tube appearance. The EcoSlim Top is loyal to the EcoTop identity with the fusion of head and cap; but with a flip-top design with a 180° opening, in line with market standards. An oval version, named OvalSlim Top, has also been developed to offer a larger surface area for brand expression.

2. Aptar: A refillable lipstick concept with a patented slider

Aptar’s Toujours Lipstick is much more than another refillable lipstick. It offers a distinctive opening system: users press the button to slide the bullet up for application and press again to slide it back down. An anti-push back system keeps the bullet in place during application. The refill casing comes in recyclable plastic (PP) and is PCR (Post Consumer Recycled Resin) capable, while the secondary over cap can be made of biodegradable material.

3. Baralan’s glass airless gets invisible piston and custom upgrades

The Italian supplier has upgraded DEA, its original airless in glass system, with invisible piston and a customizable disc. Thanks to colored or metallized finishes, the bottom disc thus adds a distinctive touch to the whole packaging.

4. Cosmogen: high-end applicators on tubes

The Dropper Tube has an aluminum tip, combined with a dropper system, allowing controlled and hygienic dosing. Designed for targeted treatments such as serums or eye contour care, it offers precise and elegant application.

5. Lumson’s new metal-free pump

Lumson debuts FREE, its new metal-free pump. At the core of FREE lies an innovative, tried and trusted material from cutting-edge fields such as aerospace and medical. Five years into research Lumson has adapted this polymer to perfectly serve the world of beauty – durable, lightweight, flexible and capable of withstanding mechanical, thermal and chemical stress.

6. Ma Balise introduces Ephém, a bioegradable RFID or NFC tag

The Ephém labels are designed to integrate seamlessly into premium packaging, offering a contactless experience while minimizing environmental impact. Made from FSC-certified paper and printed with conductive inks, they contain no plastic or heavy metals. As a result, they are fully recyclable within paper and cardboard streams and certified for home compostability.

With this innovation, Ma Balise scooped the Luxe Pack in green Award for the best eco-designed packaging innovation.

7. Pure Trade, an Advent Calendar like a vintage-style travel trunk for Lancôme

To celebrate Lancôme’s 90th anniversary, Pure Trade has created an Advent Calendar conceived as a vintage-style travel trunk in pale pink with champagne gold accents. The entire structure is crafted from FSC-certified papers and boards, with no use of plastic. The outer paper, embossed with a leather-effect grain, recalls the spirit of old travel trunks, while Ecofoil gold paper, eco-designed and free of PET lamination, harmonizes with the hot-stamped golden details on the calendar’s cases.

The perfectly aligned decorations, achieved through complex hot stamping, reflect the Maison’s exacting standards of precision. Inside, each element has been assembled by hand.

The laser-cut central clock, entirely crafted from 600 gsm board, achieves a metallic, rigid effect while remaining true to an eco-responsible approach.

8. Quadpack: a monomaterial PET packaging solution for liquid makeup

Quadpack’s Lola dip-in is a packaging solution for lip gloss, entirely made in Germany, with patented exclusive applicators and unparalleled capacity for customization. Designed for recyclability, the monomaterial pack uses PET, with high PCR content options available in due course.

9. Silgan’s ERA a cosmetic engine where sustainability meets sophistication

ERA is a fully recyclable, all-plastic pump system delivering both sustainability and high-end performance in a sleek, compact format. At its core, ERA features Silgan’s patented LifeCycle Technology, replacing metal springs with plastic equivalents that simplify recyclability.

In addition, ERA’s Pure Path technology eliminates metal contact with formulas, thus safeguarding against erosion and oxidation.

10. TNT Group’s anodized injected aluminum

TNT Group’s new patent-pending injected aluminum technology with a glossy anodized finish combines aluminum’s circularity advantages with the versatility of die-cast materials, while delivering aesthetic qualities close to those of zamak. It eliminates several of the constraints associated with zamak or cold-compressed aluminum solutions traditionally offered by the company.

In particular, it provides broad design flexibility, a wide range of metal finishes enabled by anodization, reduced weight compared to zamak while retaining a premium hand-feel, and full compatibility with standard household recycling streams.
