According to Christian David, the founder of Kure Bazaar, the project was initiated in September 2025, when new European restrictions targeted certain substances used in semi-permanent polish formulas available in nail salons.
“We had already been working on a professional formula for a few years, because I dreamed of offering in our stores the long-wear and shine performance of a professional semi-permanent gel that would not be a hybrid product and would offer a clean, TPO- and HEMA-free formula. This market segment is neglected due to tightened European and French standards, and until now the brand had no professional range”, he explains.
An exclusive technology for 21 shiny days
The dream has come true with Biogel Keratine, an innovation formulated with Fiabila, the brand’s historical partner. The formula combines plant-based keratin and antioxidant vitamin E to strengthen and protect the nail structure, and is based on the exclusive PO-X technology based on the use of next generation, non-aggressive, non-sensitizing oligomers.
“These new polymers are really advantageous compared to the previous generation. They are less volatile, less likely to cause allergic reactions, and do not penetrate the nail. So, it is a clean formula which lasts up to 21 days whilst maintaining shine, and which also offers nail care through biosourced ingredients. We are pioneers in this approach”, adds David.
The formula allows the nail to breathe, has a faint smell when applied, and can be easily removed with an ultra-gentle gel-in-jelly remover, which peels off the polish evenly in about ten minutes, without the need for filing.
A product designed for professionals
The Biogel Keratine protocol is designed for professionals at the brand’s main salons in Paris. It was launched in late September 2026 at Maison Kure Bazaar, 165 rue Saint Honoré, in central Paris, as well as at the Bon Marché department store, at a new dedicated corner.
The protocol remains targeted at professionals, with a primer, a base coat, two layers of colour, and a top coat cured under a LED lamp. But the range also comprises the Biogel Cleaner and Biogel Remover, and will be available for sale to the salon’s customers.
To David, it is not about launching a product for the general public, but to offer for the first time a real professional product which consumers may also purchase; he presents this as a proof of the formula’s safety.
“We are very much following the same approach as the makeup ranges developed by professional makeup artists, with a focus on quality, shine, and long wear designed primarily for professional use. We are opening a new chapter in this segment”, he adds.
