Fiabila and Sleever International aim to expand the use of shrink sleeves in nail polish and nail care packaging.
Although conventional labels and printing techniques remain the norm in this category, shrink sleeves open the door to spectacular and original designs.
To bring the potential of this solution to life, the two companies co-created the Wisteria Bloom collection. Its design makes the most of the enlarged display surface offered by the sleeve compared with conventional labelling.
The Wisteria Bloom formula, for its part, revisits the delicate shimmering effect inspired by cascading wisteria blossoms, their airy clusters, their flowing silhouettes, and the way they gently catch the light at the heart of spring gardens.
A flexible and recyclable solution
The film, made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or recycled PET (RPET), is heat-shrunk around the bottle. It offers the advantage of being recyclable and easily withdrawn or reworked in the event of a quality issue or overstock, in addition to providing flexibility in decoration — including a larger decoration surface than a label or a limited print area, as well as in production and logistics.
Indeed, the shrinkable PET or RPET film separates from the bottle when immersed in a hot water bath, facilitating sorting and recycling. It can be removed or replaced quickly, particularly in the event of a quality defect or a change in design. A standard neutral bottle can be stocked for all references, while sleeves, which take up less storage space, allow for on-demand customization. Bespoke decoration is made easier, even for limited quantities. The sleeve covers a larger surface than a conventional label, increasing the space available for graphic design. Decoration options are also more numerous.
