The premium cosmetic packaging manufacturer is introducing an innovative makeup compact case in collaboration with Eastman, a manufacturer of plastic resins and a trailblazer in molecular recycling.
Named Gemini, Toly’s new compact is the first to be produced using Eastman’s Cristal One Renew IM812 resin —a new grade that combines recycled and recyclable content while delivering the brilliance and aesthetics expected by premium and luxury beauty brands. However, it has already been tested by Axilone for the manufacture of perfume caps.
The new resin offers glass-like clarity for thick-wall PET compact cases, enabling luxurious designs without sacrificing transparency or gloss, together with up to 100% certified recycled content [1] through molecular recycling, and full compatibility with existing PET recycling streams, certified by leading organizations including EPBP, APR and RecyClass.
"Our partnership with Eastman on the Gemini compact represents a shared vision for the future of beauty packaging, one that balances luxury with responsibility. By utilizing Cristal One Renew IM812, we are able to offer our clients packaging solutions that empower brands to meet stringent sustainability goals while delivering the high-end aesthetics and tactile experience consumers expect," said Olaf Zahra, chief technical and sustainability officer at Toly.
Toly and Eastman will reveal the Gemini compact cases at Luxe Pack Monaco international trade show on September 30-October 2, 2025.
"This innovative solution ensures your packages not only meet today’s standards but are ready for the legislative demands of tomorrow, providing peace of mind and sustainability in each package," concluded Tara Cary, global cosmetics market manager, Eastman.
