For the fifth consecutive year, the French supplier of natural cosmetic active ingredients has retained its Platinum rating from EcoVadis.
Silab says it keeps improving its CSR strategy reaching a higher score than the previous year. This rating confirms its position among the top 1% of the world’s highest-rated companies in terms of social and environmental performance in global supply chains.
In addition, Silab retains the highest distinction - namely, the “leader” ranking - in terms of “carbon score” (assessing companies’ greenhouse gas management system performance).
“At Silab, we have anchored CSR into our values and our DNA. Thus, for more than 40 years, Silab has been committed and has been leading concrete initiatives contributing to this strategy. As proof of this, just a few weeks ago, we launched our Actively Caring 2030 program, a true sustainable improvement plan for the next five years. This new EcoVadis Platinum rating reinforces our increasingly committed approach to social responsibility, with respect for people and the environment,” commented Jean-Philippe Cosson, General Manager in charge of CSR at Silab.
The entire CSR program and Silab’s progress toward each of the established goals can be found on the eco-designed website: Actively Caring.
Through this program, the company’s commitment regarding sustainable development relies on a balance between three pillars - Profit, People, Planet - respectively aiming to create sustainable value, get involved with the company’s ecosystem players, and limit its impact on the environment.
In order to make these ambitions concrete and reinforce its sustainable performance, Silab has identified nine strategic priorities related to its activity, divided into 47 measurable mastery or improvement goals, all followed annually.
