The French group specialized in fragrances and aromas has invested R$ 48 million (about EUR 8 million) to build a new factory in Brazil. Robertet has been present in this market since 1963. The family-owned company is a world leader in the production of natural ingredients for the perfume industry.

Officially inaugurated at the end of March, the factory is located in Barueri, a city in the metropolitan region of São Paulo where the company has been based since 1980. Now, both departments of fragrances and aromas work from the same address. "With this new plant we begin a new era at Robertet Brazil, with a very competitive structure, offering the entire expertise of the French head office to Brazilian clients”, claims Francisco Marques, managing director of Robertet in Brazil.

With the new production unit, Robertet triples its production and storage capacity in the country. "We have also added more modern processes to meet environmental demands, such as waste treatment and rainwater reuse. Additionally, we were able to offer our employees a safer and more comfortable work environment", adds Marques.

According to the latest data shared by the group, its growth in Brazil is mainly driven by fine fragrances. Without mentioning numbers, Marques says Robertet’s performance in 2019 was "very good" in spite of the limited growth in Brazil.

"We have increased our presence in the market with many winning projects and by expanding the number of clients", says the managing director. The perfumery department serves clients such as Avon, Embelleze, Hinode and L’Oréal.
