Robertet has acquired a majority stake of Astier Demarest, a family business founded in 1880 in the French city of Grasse and specialized in the sourcing and distribution of raw materials for the perfumery, cosmetics, aromatherapy and food flavouring sectors.

This investment reaffirms the Group’s determination to remain the world leader in aromatic ingredients and strengthens our competitive edge in sustainable sourcing of Natural products with a reinforced presence at the source on strategic products for our industry,” said Robertet in a statement.

Astier Demarest developed over the years a network of suppliers and partners to assure a high level of quality and traceability of raw materials at every step of the supply chain.

"This acquisition will help us consolidate our leadership in natural ingredients and develop ambitious projects for the future," said Julien Maubert,Director Raw Materials Division at Robertet.

François and Bruno Destoumieux, the current managers of Astier Demarest, will remain as leaders of the company with the support of the Robertet group to develop sustainably sourced ingredients and enlarge their distribution with Robertet’s range of natural and organic products.

A specialist of fragrance, flavour and cosmetic ingredients, the Robertet group is represented in over 50 countries and employs approximatively 2,000 staffs worldwide.
