LVMH, the world’s largest luxury group, announced on Thursday, July 23, the appointment of Yann Musquin as Chief Executive Officer of LVMH Fragrance Brands, succeeding Romain Spitzer, who recently joined rival Kering.
In his new role, Musquin will oversee the development of Givenchy Parfums and Kenzo Parfums, with a mandate to further strengthen the desirability of both brands while accelerating the growth of LVMH Fragrance Brands’ portfolio, the group said.
Yann Musquin will assume the role on August 3 and will report to Véronique Courtois, CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and LVMH Beauty, the group said.
A graduate of HEC Paris, Musquin began his career at L’Oréal in 2004 before joining Parfums Christian Dior in 2008. He went on to serve as International Marketing Director for Dior fragrances in 2013 before being appointed Director of Perfumes and Beauty at Louis Vuitton in 2021. Since late 2024, he has held the position of Chief Brand Officer at Givenchy Parfums.
Musquin succeeds Romain Spitzer, who led LVMH Fragrance Brands for the past decade. Earlier this month, Spitzer was appointed CEO of Bottega Veneta at rival luxury group Kering.
The appointment comes as the global fragrance market continues to expand, supported by robust consumer demand — particularly in emerging markets — and the sustained strength of artistic (or niche) fragrances. At the same time, intensifying competition and consumers’ appetite for novelty are driving brands to accelerate product launches and innovation.
