French luxury goods giant LVMH announced on Monday, February 9, two new additions to the executive committee overseeing the group’s management: Antoine Arnault, 48, son of group CEO Bernard Arnault, and Véronique Courtois, promoted to Chairman and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior and the group’s Beauty Division.

Véronique Courtois “will oversee the activities of all the Maisons in the Beauty Division, while retaining her role at the head of Parfums Christian Dior, ensuring managerial and strategic continuity of this iconic Maison,” LVMH said.

She succeeds Stéphane Rinderknech, who joined from competitor L’Oréal, as head of the Beauty Division. According to the press release, Rinderknech “has decided to leave the Group to pursue new personal projects.”

Véronique Courtois joined LVMH in 2000. For ten years, she held various positions, including marketing roles in France and internationally, before becoming marketing director at Guerlain in 2007.

She then joined Christian Dior Couture in 2010 as marketing director, before being appointed managing director of the Parfums Christian Dior brand in 2012. CEO of Guerlain in 2019, she became CEO of Parfums Christian Dior in March 2023.

Antoine Arnault, who joins his older sister Delphine, Chairman and CEO of Dior, and his father, Chairman and CEO of LVMH, on the executive committee, “will oversee image, communication, and sustainable development projects, for which he has held full responsibility since 2020,” the group said in a statement.

Antoine Arnault joined LVMH in 2002 at Louis Vuitton, where he became director of communications. In 2011, he was appointed CEO of Berluti and, in the same year, launched “Les Journées Particulières,” giving the general public free access to the group’s brands behind the scenes for three days.

In 2013, Antoine Arnault became president of the Italian cashmere brand Loro Piana, a position he will hold until 2025. In December 2022, he was appointed CEO and vice-chairman of the board of directors of Christian Dior.

As president of Agache Sport, Antoine Arnault was also appointed director of Paris Football Club — one of the French capital’s two clubs — which was purchased by the Arnault family.
