On Thursday, December 18, global luxury leader LVMH announced the appointment of Laura Burdese as CEO of Italian jewelry brand Bulgari, effective July 1, 2026.
Laura Burdese, 54, who has been Deputy CEO since July 2024, succeeds Jean-Christophe Babin, who will remain Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bulgari “while continuing to serve as CEO of Bulgari Hotels and President of the Bulgari Foundation,” according to a press release.
Laura Burdese will report to Stéphane Bianchi, Deputy CEO of LVMH and CEO of LVMH Watches and Jewelry.
“I am very proud of this smooth transition,” said Stéphane Bianchi, quoted in the press release. “For the past three years, Laura and Jean-Christophe have worked side by side to sustain and orchestrate the brand elevation of the iconic Roman jewelry Maison,” he said.
Laura Burdese joined LVMH in 2016 as CEO of Italian fragrance brand Aqua di Parma before joining Bulgari in 2022 as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, then Deputy CEO. She previously worked at Beiersdorf, L’Oréal, and Swatch.
In the first nine months of 2025, LVMH’s Watches and Jewelry division (Bulgari, Tiffany, Tag Heuer, Chaumet, etc.) posted a 2% decline in revenue to EUR 7.4 billion.
