The Spanish beauty packaging specialist, a subsidiary of PSB Industries, has introduced a new generation of metal applicators designed for use with its best-selling Skin-Up Bottle.
Lotus Pod is the first metal-tipped applicator to enrich the exclusive range of applicators for Quadpack’s Skin-Up Bottle. It comes a complement to the flock-tipped options already available.
Cool touch
The latest innovation to come out of the Quadpack’s Creative Hub was designed to enrich skincare and makeup rituals with a cooling sensation, allowing users to indulge in instant freshness with every glide.
Lotus Pod features an oval-shaped applicator that promotes formula pick-up, thanks to an aperture in the centre. Made of stainless steel, its cooling effect promotes depuffing, helps reduce redness and heightens the sensory experience.
Lotus Pod is designed for thick [1], hybrid formulas with active ingredients for skincare and makeup, such as under-eye gels, serums, primers and concealers. Its design, shaped like a lotus leaf, features a hole to entrap the formula. Users simply dip and apply, spreading the product onto the targeted area. The metal delivers a pleasant, cooling sensation, working in tandem with the product to produce the desired effect.
Lotus Pod comes with the 15ml or 30ml cylindrical glass Skin-Up Bottle. According to Quadpack, the combination of glass and metal creates a premium, modern look-and-feel that can be customised with a host of decoration techniques, from frosting and lacquering, to silk screening and hotfoil stamping.
Quadpack’s Senior Category Specialist Mateia Crippa explains the move into metal: “Lotus Pod represents a new technology platform among our patented applicators. By expanding beyond flocked tips into metallic designs, we are responding to customer demand for cold-touch solutions that enhance the formula, as well as the user experience. And by matching it with our Skin-Up Bottle, we are leveraging our most popular glass bottle to extend functionality and choice.”
