Interparfums Inc. reported stable third-quarter net sales of USD 430 million, unchanged from the same period last year. For the first nine months of the year, sales increased by 1% to USD 1.115 billion, compared with USD 1.102 billion in 2025.

European-based operations recorded a 4% increase in third-quarter sales to USD 306 million, while US-based operations declined by 7% to USD 127 million.

The company attributed the US decline largely to supply chain disruptions that delayed shipments of giftsets for selected brands. The delays represented approximately USD 10 million in sales that will now be recognized in the fourth quarter. Excluding this impact, US sales would have remained flat year on year in the third quarter.

Over the first nine months, US-based operations generated USD 336 million in sales, up 3%, while European-based operations grew 1% to USD 789 million.

Interparfums Chairman and CEO Jean Madar also cited the ongoing war in the Middle East as a headwind, representing an estimated 1% impact on third-quarter sales and 2% for the first nine months.

Coach and Montblanc drive growth of European-based operations

European-based operations benefited from a combination of organic growth and contributions from new brands. Third-quarter sales increased by 4%, reflecting 3% organic growth and a 1% contribution from new brands, partly offset by a 1% foreign exchange headwind.

Coach fragrances delivered particularly strong results, with sales up 23% in the third quarter and 15% over the first nine months. Performance was supported by the popularity of its established women’s and men’s lines and two new line extensions launched earlier this year.

Montblanc fragrance sales returned to growth, rising 12% in the third quarter and 8% year to date. The company attributed the performance to the launches of Montblanc Legend Elixir in the first quarter and Montblanc Explorer Infinite in the third quarter.

Jimmy Choo fragrance sales increased by 1% in the third quarter, bringing growth for the first nine months to 5%. The I Want Choo and Jimmy Choo Man franchises continued to contribute, alongside recent line extensions, including I Want Choo Midnight.

Lacoste also returned to growth, with fragrance sales up 4% in the third quarter, driven by Original Intense, the latest women’s launch in the Original franchise. However, sales remained down 9% for the first nine months, following a challenging first half marked by a strong prior-year comparison and softer conditions in Eastern Europe.

Mixed performance among US-based brands

Among Interparfums’ US-based operations, Guess fragrances recorded growth of 3% in the third quarter and 7% over the first nine months. The performance was supported by the Iconic franchise, as well as extensions to the Amore and Seductive lines.

Donna Karan/DKNY fragrance sales declined by 9% in the third quarter, following double-digit growth in the second quarter. The decline reflected the timing of product innovation and delayed giftset shipments. Sales nevertheless increased by 4% over the first nine months.

Ferragamo fragrance sales fell by 22% in the third quarter, primarily due to the timing of innovation, but were down just 2% year to date. Interparfums also cited challenging market conditions in Europe, the brand’s core region.

Roberto Cavalli delivered a more positive performance, with fragrance sales up 4% in the third quarter and 6% over the first nine months. Growth was supported by the continued popularity of the Serpentine launch in 2025, new line extensions introduced in 2026 and the partnership with Kiko Milano, despite a difficult macroeconomic environment in the Middle East.

Measured optimism for year-end and 2027

Despite a challenging market environment, Interparfums maintained a measured but positive outlook for the remainder of 2026 and beyond.

The company highlighted expanded partnerships, new exclusive licence agreements and a pipeline of major launches and brand additions planned for 2027. It is also preparing for the 2026 holiday season.
