The group is interested in acquiring the operation that Coty is selling in Brazil, including brands such as Wella, Koleston, Cenoura & Bronze, Risqué and Paixão, among others, said the president of Grupo Boticário in an interview to Brazil’s business magazine Valor Econômico.

The shift would help the Brazilian company to strengthen its business in the hair care category - of which Brazil is one of the strongest markets globally - and also to enter the supermarket channel.

Last October, Coty announced its intention to sell its Brazilian operations and its professional beauty business. Four years earlier, the group had acquired Brazil’s Hypermarcas’ cosmetics division for R$ 3.8 billion.
