Italy-based cosmetics manufacturer Gotha Cosmetics has appointed Paolo Valsecchi as new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding to René Baaring.

Paolo Valsecchi has an impressive track record in the beauty industry, where he developed a strong expertise in B2B beauty contract manufacturing,” said the company in a statement.

Prior to joining Gotha, Paolo Valsecchi was CEO at Lumson, a company active in the development, production and decoration of primary packaging for the cosmetic and make-up markets. Earlier to that, he worked 17 years at Intercos, culminating in the role of Managing Director Europe and Senior Vice President Global Industrial Operations.

Mr. Valsecchi will focus on continuing the company’s development plans by further strengthening Gotha’s global footprint and sales organization, innovation and top-quality service to customers. “Gotha is a company with great potential and power of geographical expansion, my mission is to further develop the company on the axis of product categories and internationalization,” he commented.

Gotha Cosmetics is a contract manufacturer specializing in colour cosmetics. Located near Bergamo, Italy, the company has achieved rapid growth since its creation in 2005, as a spin-off of a high-end skincare company. Today Gotha is the partner of a large variety of innovative, fast growing beauty brands around the world.
