For its 10th edition, the event organized by Cosmetic Valley on October 16 and 17, 2024 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, has chosen longevity and sustainability as a double thread. The two trends have become essential for both manufacturers and beauty brands. The trade show will bring together 250 exhibitors and over 5,000 international decision-makers.

Innovating for people and the planet

According to the organizers, the theme of longevity and sustainability in cosmetics encompasses on the one hand, all the innovations that contribute to delaying or even reversing the effects of ageing on the skin, and on the other hand, to extend the life cycle of products and equipment. The final goal is to optimise the impact of the perfume and cosmetics industry on people and the environment.

By exploring the inspiring resources of cellular regeneration and anti-senescence, the proteome, genomics and epigenetics to better understand the mechanisms of action of ingredients, longevity cosmetics today also aim to optimise skin beauty as well as physical and mental well-being,” highlights Cosmetic Valley.

According to Cosmetic Valley, sustainability challenges are a full component of longevity cosmetics because they stimulate a more conscious and holistic approach to products development.

The notion thus involves all professional areas involved in the creation of a cosmetic product or perfume, incorporating environmentally-friendly practices such as resource conservation, eco-design of products, durability of packaging materials and predictive maintenance of equipment, and stimulates innovation in all its dimensions.

The show’s conferences, awards and all its entertainment zones (CNRS Tech Corner, Start-up Zone, Innovation Challenges, etc.) will be dedicated to this double issue.

A competition for cosmetic excellence

In addition, to mark the Olympic year, Cosmetic 360 is organising the first international competition to showcase the excellence of the world’s leading cosmetics regions. Dubbed Cosmetopiads, will consist of a friendly confrontation between different cosmetic clusters

Each region in the running will defend its colours by promoting its cosmetics ecosystem, which enables companies to innovate, through four themes: training, public research, local initiatives and know-how. At the stand visitors will have the opportunity to discover excellence in innovation from around the world.
