The French specialist in luxury metal packaging unveiled a new 100% aluminum case for Diptyque’s lip wax, showcasing an alternative to traditional zamak construction.
Metapack spent twelve months redesigning the original object to preserve its aesthetics and premium finish while significantly reducing its weight. The new case replaces two zamak components with four aluminum parts: a cold-forged base and lid, complemented by stamped top and bottom plates.
Weighing just 43 grams when empty, the redesigned case demonstrates that switching from zamak to aluminum is both technically and industrially viable for high-end beauty packaging.
Metapack will also showcase this new compact, along with other innovations, at Luxe Pack Monaco, taking place from September 28 to 30, 2026.
