Amid the Covid-19 health crisis, the France-based provider of personal care ingredients and pharmaceutical excipients has announced a series of measures to ensure the protection of its employees while continuing manufacturing and delivering operations.
“Wherever Gattefossé operates, the company ensures compliance with national measures while maintaining working conditions in all its premises,” said the company in a statement.
Since the its strategic partners and suppliers continue ensuring a regular supply, the company remains able to manufacturing and delivering its products.
“All the Group’s affiliates are operational, working remotely. Only the Chinese affiliate has reopened its office, in accordance with current national provisions,” the company added. Thanks to adequate laboratory IT tools Gattefossé China can also provide support to the labs that are currently closed in France, the United States and India.
At their headquarters in Saint-Priest, Lyon suburban area, in France, Gattefossé has implemented all the measures recommended by French authorities:
Since March 17, all employees who have the possibility and whose presence is not mandatory on-site are working from their homes;
Only the production, supply chain, quality control and technical services are operating on-site with reduced staff, and in full compliance with sanitary measures. Members of the executive committee ensure a daily rotating presence;
Increased frequency of cleaning in frequented areas on site;
Implementation of protective and health safety measures for all employees operating on-site: distribution of masks, manufacture of hand sanitisers, individual offices, closure of the company restaurant and application of strict health instructions for meals;
Travel ban and postponement of all internal and professional events until further notice;
No external visits allowed.
Furthermore, as a contribution to the national fight against the epidemic, the company donated FFP2 masks to local public hospitals and support healthcare professionals.
