Following the successful launch of the new Double Serum two years ago, Clarins now introduces the Double Serum Foundation. The innovation uses a similar custom packaging as the worldwide best-selling skincare serum, with patented two-in-one dispensing technology and progressive dosage.

The iconic packaging, redesigned

With its next-generation hybrid serum formulation, Clarins’ Double Serum Foundation embodies the “skinification” trend, blending makeup and skincare by infusing real skincare benefits into cosmetic formulas.

The new launch leverages a custom solution, similar to the iconic ninth generation of the Double Serum: a patented double-chamber packaging for two-in-one dispensing. A thin wall separates the two formulas inside the container, with a ratio of 70% of color cosmetic and 30% hydric system. Each phase stays separate until application, combining only at the last moment for optimal compatibility.

The adjustable dial dispenses a progressive dosage, allowing customizable coverage of the 37 shades available. The rotating actuator delivers from a small drop to a power shot, ensuring waste-free usage. Equipped with a lockable feature, it boasts a new metallized design with high shine finish.

Clarins added a Polypropylene (PP) overcap to allow for on-the-go use, which perfectly matches the premium look-and-feel of the pack with external golden lacquering, a shiny red interior and delicate embossing of the brand logo.

The full packaging contains at least 38% recycled material [1], with the bottle incorporating 95% recyclable materials, as claimed by Clarins.

Made in France solution

Such complex custom projects bring together all of our expertise in design, engineering, manufacturing, decoration and logistics. Co-creating this new packaging with Clarins is a true demonstration of our custom manufacturing excellence,” says Marie Guillou, Sales Director Custom, Aptar Beauty EMEA.

Aptar Beauty leverages industrial synergies between Oyonnax, the flagship facility solely dedicated to the art of custom manufacture, and Verneuil and Charleval facilities in France. Other industrial sites, like Le Neubourg (France) and Chieti (Italy), provide the pump cartridges.

Each of the seven Aptar Beauty production sites in Europe offers custom services with a specific focus: fragrance pumps, airless dispensers, cosmetics pumps, metal parts, sticks and sampling solutions.

For its part, Cosmogen developed a gua sha–inspired applicator brush for the same launch.
