The L’Oréal Group unveiled two light-powered haircare and skincare innovations at CES 2026 — Light Straight + Multi-Styler and the LED Face Mask — both recipients of a CES 2026 Innovation Award.

Gentle smoothing for healthier hair

Addressing consumers’ concerns about heat damage, L’Oréal Research & Innovation has developed the Light Straight + Multi-styler, a device powered by patented infrared light technology. Using glass plates and operating at a maximum of 160°C (320°F), it significantly reduces heat exposure while delivering high-performance results. According to L’Oréal’s tests, the device styles hair three times faster and leaves it twice as smooth as leading traditional premium hair straighteners.

Light Straight + Multi-styler is set to launch globally in 2027.

Together with the Airlight Pro hair dryer, unveiled at CES 2024, L’Oréal now offers an entire infrared-powered hairstyling routine that better protect hair.

A flexible silicone LED face mask for targeted skincare

L’Oréal Groupe has also announced LED Face Mask, an ultra-thin, flexible silicone mask — currently in prototype form — developed with I-Smart Developments, a global leader in LED device innovation.

The device delivers light directly to the face. The transparent support integrates a skin-safe microcircuit to precisely control the emission of two selected wavelengths of light — red light (630 nm) and near-infrared light (830 nm) — each of which work to visibly firm and smooth skin while evening skin tone. L’Oréal believes its testing will show that LED Face Mask combats visible signs of aging like fine lines, sagging, and uneven tone through targeted red light and near-infrared light. The lightweight, flexible and non-invasive design will integrate seamlessly into daily skincare routines, with each 10-minute session automatically timed.

LED Face Mask is expected to launch in 2027.
