Nuon Medical selected Paris Packaging Week to showcase two new microneedling-based accessories, one for the face and the other for the scalp. Originating from cosmetic medicine and widely used in Asia, this technique creates tiny skin perforations to stimulate the skin’s natural repair process.
All-in-One Microneedling Applicator
Designed for facial care, the first device fits in the palm of the hand and combines microneedling with LED light and hot–cold therapy.
LED light takes advantage of increased skin permeability to enhance cellular activity and accelerate collagen and elastin production, while soothing the epidermis. The heating and cooling functions act on tissues, blood vessels, the lymphatic network, and cells.
Scalp and hair care
Riding the wave of hair care, the second device (Scalp Therapy Applicator) relies on a combination of microneedling, red light and EMS microstimulation.
Nuon explains that red light soothes the scalp, stimulates hair follicles, and boosts circulation. The PLA microneedle patch improves ingredient absorption, while EMS technology gently activates the scalp’s muscles and tissues.
“Regular use has demonstrated effectiveness, particularly when paired with red light therapy,” Nuon claims.
