At Luxe Pack Monaco, Albéa showcased its latest beauty packaging innovations, focusing on four key areas: eco-design, refillability, sensory appeal, and visual differentiation.

Packaging inspired by emerging beauty trends

Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance presented two collections reflecting current beauty trends: Kute Beauty, inspired by the influence of K-beauty, and Makeup by Albéa, which draws on the return of maximalism and self-expression.

Kute Beauty combines compact formats, rounded shapes and playful designs for makeup and skincare. Its new 30 ml Amara tottle is available in two designs (dome and flat), both made from 100% polypropylene (PP). Another illustration is the Fluff tottle, designed for lightweight, travel-friendly use, particularly in hand care and skincare.

Two sticks with rounded caps complete the range. Nano Pop is an airtight, monomaterial solution for on-the-go applications, while Comfy Stick features a distinctive shape.

Albéa is also exploring ways to make additional Kute Beauty packaging formats monomaterial where they are not yet aligned with the requirements of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Options incorporating post-consumer recycled (PCR) material are also under study.

For its part, the Makeup by Albéa collection addresses the renewed interest in expressive makeup, with packaging and applicators designed to support creative looks and more precise application. The collection includes compacts for which Albéa is exploring the use of PET mirrors.

A key development is Interlace, a proprietary twisted-brush manufacturing technology that reorganizes fiber distribution to expand the possibilities for brush geometry and makeup effects. Its potential is illustrated by Visionary, a standard collection featuring six brush designs, each developed to deliver a specific application effect.

Albéa Beauty Lab, the group’s European center of excellence for mascara, also introduced Starla, a conical brush designed to separate, define and lengthen lashes. Its fiber distribution is intended to comb through lashes individually while depositing formula from root to tip.

The company’s portfolio also includes applicators made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), which combine softness and flexibility for skincare applications. These are designed to provide a flock-like sensory effect without flocking.

Albéa is further developing its offering in refillable packaging, with two new monomaterial sticks intended for applications including skincare and solid fragrance, alongside the rechargeable, monomaterial Balmy tube. The company is also expanding its work in sun care and hair care.

Albéa Tubes: applicators, decoration and refill solutions

For Albéa Tubes, the anniversary provided an opportunity to revisit seven decades of development while presenting new solutions focused on application experience, visual differentiation and packaging recyclability.

Albéa also presented an extensive range of applicators, including Soft Range, a collection made from thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). This core part of Albéa’s applicator portfolio includes Soft Lips, Soft Dropper and Soft Bevel, designed to combine a soft, flexible feel with precise product application in skincare and makeup. The entire range is manufactured in Europe.

Albéa also highlighted its Artist applicator family, which uses different materials to address a variety of application needs, including precision, controlled formula delivery and massage effects.

Other application solutions showcased at Luxe Pack Monaco include the Roll-on D35 for body applications and cannulas for targeted, hygienic dispensing in facial skincare, spot treatments and hair and scalp care.

In decoration, the company presented (Re)flex, a plastic barrier laminate (PBL) tube designed to provide a metallic appearance without using a metal tube. Available in diameters from 30 to 50 mm, it supports different finishes, including brushed, mirror, shaded and colored metallic effects. The solution is designed for recycling while maintaining its shape and appearance over time.

The technology can be combined with InvisiSeam, a 360-degree side-seam welding process that makes the tube’s seam virtually invisible. This maximizes the printable surface and enables more continuous decoration.

Albéa’s Fancy Deco portfolio also offers special effects intended to enhance shelf appeal and tactile experience. Options include Spectral, Opal, Hypnosis, Illusion, 3D Touch and Stereoscope, providing effects such as movement, shine, depth and texture.

Refillability is another development area for Albéa Tubes. The company is exploring the tube as a reusable packaging component that can serve as a refill solution, offering a more robust and premium alternative to conventional flexible refill pouches.
