After a very positive first edition in 2011, MakeUp in New York, which hosted 40% additional exhibitors this year, has kept its promises. Indeed, more than 1,000 people (1,036 exactly, according to the organizers counts), came to visit the second edition of the event, which took place last week on September 12 and 13, two blocks from the Madison Square Garden.

"This 2012 edition was taking place on three levels, one more than the previous year, also representing 50% extra surface area. Far from being a handicap, the flow of visitors was very evenly distributed between the different floors. And icing on the cake, sunshine was also part of the show for the whole week in New York enabling visitors and exhibitors to enjoy the terrace available on the last level of Studio 450,” explain the organizers.

The conferences organized for the first time this year also recorded high attendance and the small room planned for this purpose was packed during the two days with a total of more than 250 attendees.

An appointment for the whole American continent

Moreover, the organizers were particularly delighted by the number of visitors coming from far beyond the greater New York metropolitan area.

The first statistics show that visitors came both from the east coast of the United States but also from Mexico, Canada and several countries in South America. MakeUp in New York takes full advantage of its specificity as a event exclusively focused on make-up, a unique characteristic shared on the European continent by its sister event, MakeUp in Paris.

A new appointment is set in September 2013, but this time in a new venue, success requires.
