Ex-Chanel Yves Blouin has been appointed as Executive Director and Group Managing Director of the L’Occitane Group, effective 18 January 2021. He will report directly to Reinold Geiger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the L’Occitane Group. The portfolio of the French beauty company includes brands such as L’Occitane en Provence, L’Occitane au Brésil, Melvita, Erborian and Elemis.

Yves Blouin, aged 56, worked with Chanel from 1993 to 2019, holding positions as Managing Director and General Manager in South-East Asia, China, Japan, the Middle East and India. On the corporate responsibility front, Yves Blouin has initiated energy-saving and recycling programmes and promoted diversity among his teams.
“Yves Blouin’s long-standing work experience in Asia, which accounts for almost 50% of the Group’s activity, and his extensive expertise in leading global luxury and cosmetics brands will be a great asset as the Group continues its drive for growth and profitability,” commented Reinold Geiger.
Mr Blouin, who holds a bachelor’s degree in management and attended the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Programme, succeeds Sylvain Desjonquères, who will be leaving his position as Group Managing Director while continuing to support the company by serving on the Board of L’Occitane Groupe S.A., the parent company.
