Mana Products, a beauty contract manufacturer based in Long Island City, New York, has been purchased by investment firm Traub Capital.

According to Mana, the acquisition will provide considerable strategic, operational and financial expertise to leverage the company’s innovation, research, development and contract manufacturing capabilities.

They will support us with needed strategic growth planning and in ensuring that, together, our customers are supported to the highest degree," said Robert Jaegly, Mana’s CEO. He also noted they are committed to Mana’s inclusive, innovative and employee-centric culture, and that "Traub Capital has a strong appreciation for Mana’s leaders and employees."

Since their creation in 1975 by chemist and entrepreneur Nikos Mouyiaris, who passed away at the start of 2019, Mana Products has been specializing in the manufacture of prestige color cosmetic products, in particular pigmented powders. Headquartered in Long Island City, NY, the company employs over 800 people, and operates three product innovation labs and two manufacturing facilities for production, packaging, assembly and distribution.

The company announced it will continue to operate as Mana Products and its leadership team and workforce will remain in Long Island City, NY.
