Julie Cartigny, the event’s director

After 13 years, Informa is putting an end to Beyond Beauty Paris and transforming the show into two different events:

The first one, Alternative Fragrance & Beauty, will be dedicated to alternative cosmetic and perfume brands and will take place o 16-18 June 2016 at the Carreau du Temple, in central Paris. The second, Beauty Factory, will be dedicated to suppliers, and will open its doors on 13-14 September 2016 at the Palais des Congrès Paris.

A pop-up store format

Alternative Beauty & Fragrance aims to both professionals and the general public. The first two days will be dedicated to business meetings and to exchanges between brands, distributers, and international buyers looking for something unusual

The last day will be open to the public: the exhibiting brands will be able to sell their products on site and to test their potential, but, more than anything, they will have the opportunity to establish a direct link with their customers and to forge an intimacy with the brand.

The event wants to stand out from the mass with a new format that resembles a pop-up store. “Much more than just a fair, Alternative Fragrance & Beauty will break the rules of traditional events and will host around a hundred participants carefully selected in an unusual and unique setting that was designed by the agency Centdegrés,” says Julie Cartigny, the event’s director.

Alternative Fragrance & Beauty will also draw inspiration from beyond the walls of the Carreau du Temple, creating synergies with the boutiques that characterize the alleys of the Marais neighbourhood.

We want to let brands freely express their creativity. We will not impose any rules, decided by one and meant for all. Instead, we will carry them individually so that they can all express their values and personalities. We assert our difference by working with the brands to develop their business while preserving their identity,” highlights Claudia Bonfiglioli, International Director of Informa Beauty.

The best from beyond Beauty?

Furthermore, Alternative Fragrance & Beauty will relaunch some of the most successful components of Beyond Beauty Paris. The Zoom area, a specific section dedicated to new brands, will be integrated in the new sho, and the area dedicated to alternative fragrances will be extended to address the increasing demand for this product category.

Also, after 11 editions, the Beauty Challenger Awards (BCA) will continue in 2016 to reward the most promising brands from the industries of cosmetics and perfume.

In parallel to the show, a comprehensive educational program will also focus on three main themes: skincare, perfume and trends.

Finally, for the second consecutive year, the Rare Perfumes Meetings will gather a selection of niche perfume brands accompanied by a series of demonstrations and dedicated conferences, in collaboration with Marie Huet, President of Comité Joséphine et General Director of Parfums d’Orsay.
