"Crystallize Your Lips", Swarovski’s first line of lipsticks has been produced by Topline-Primapack, in harmony with the bottle of Swarovski’s fragrance, Aura.
This first lipstick collection of the Austrian crystal manufacturer features six shades, each one bearing the name of the crystal it is coordinated with: Crystal Silk, Crystal Lila Rose, Crystal Vintage Rose, Indian Pink Crystal, Crystal Light Red Siam Crystal Burgundy.
The creamy and light texture of the Crystallize Your Lips line is enriched with a micronized Swarovski crystal powder and with the pearly iridescent Crystal Shine. The stick is decorated with a print reminiscent of a crystal facets and is perfumed with a powdery floral fragrance.
The rangy packaging, designed by Gwenaël Nicolas (Agence Curiosity-Japon), differentiates itself by its small diameter, which allows a perfect and precise application. This originality also impacted the design of the whole mechanism.
In addition to this specificity, Topline-Primapack achieved a complex object. Indeed, the cap is composed of two parts, a long shiny sleeve in anodized aluminium on which a piece of injected zamac, galvanized in the same shade, whose crimping required a manual adjustment. At the top of the tube sparkles a Swarovski Elements crystal.
"Injection enabled to create the ideal form to receive the precious contents, of which the collage, positioning and driving, are adjusted manually, to be as accurate as a jewel. Result: a perfect overlay of the stone," said Topline-Primapack in a release.
As the responsible of the project, Topline-Primapack also focused on finishing details such as the colour of the screen printing on the tube, the click sound produced when opening and closing the device, or the easiness to manipulate the mechanism.
