Three questions to Albéa

Premium Beauty News - How would you describe your company’s contribution to the beauty industry?

Albéa - We are positioned as committed leaders. It means we must serve our customers better and better, invent disruptive products and processes, behave responsibly, and defend employment and the local industry. That is what we have been trying to do for over 50 years.

In terms of innovation, we design new beauty gestures, as can be seen with the Hair Dye Tube, the TIO mascara, the Panache Pulse fragrance and cosmetics sprayer, the Reveal case, etc.

Now, as regards responsibility, we ensure consumer safety with more protective, traceable packs developed in plants that reduce their environmental impact.

We carry these values with and for our customers, our teams, our partners, and the beauty ecosystem.

Premium Beauty News - What are the main transformations affecting your business today?

Albéa - Today, the industry must adapt to an ever more complex, evanescent, uncertain, and ambiguous world. A world that gets more and more digital, interconnected, and where things go faster and faster.

The boom of digital technologies is changing our consumption patterns, but also our means of communication, data sharing, and interaction with consumers, brands, and suppliers. Digital technologies drive the emergence of influencers, e-shops, indie brands, and contribute to connected beauty. They also make it possible to innovate on more collaborative and cross-disciplinary terms with both agility and speed.

They are an integral part of the Industry 4.0 challenges, i.e. 3D prototyping, digital printing, augmented reality, robotics, smart sampling, artificial intelligence, but also open innovation…

Industry 4.0 is based on the development of skills and teams, the acquisition of new talents within a global context of talent war, and the simplification of industrial and administrative processes. It stimulates a partnership-oriented, more open, and more supportive mindset.

Sustainable development expectations are also getting more demanding. It encourages us to update our production processes according to a circular logic, taking into account recycling and reuse. We aim to consume differently and innovate sustainably, while getting our stakeholders and communities involved.

To both Albéa and our customers, it means we must adapt faster and faster, by combining reliability and agility, using automation and digitalization, and taking advantage of the company’s creativity and attractiveness. We need to be even more digital, inclusive, agile, and sustainable, while preserving the basics.

Premium Beauty News - What is your vision of beauty in 10 years? What will be your contribution to this beauty of the future?

Albéa - Tomorrow’s beauty will be committed, to the benefit of the environment, diversity, but also product and raw material safety and traceability, down to the final contact with consumers.
Tomorrow’s beauty will be collaborative, with a new brand-consumer balance, co-creation, open innovation, and partnerships, as well as transparency.
Tomorrow’s beauty will be exemplary, due to the increasing consumer expectations, with natural, tailor-made, unique products and personalized content – and even more speed and agility.

Albéa already contributes to this future.

We have been imagining new products to disrupt beauty gestures.

We have been developing new service offerings: pack + formula, kitting, fast-track, eco-design, customization and personalization.

We increasingly facilitate co-creation with our customers.

We modernize our equipment, processes, and organizations to go faster and be more agile, simple, and safe, and help our customers reduce their time-to-market.

We commit to contributing to the circular economy, reducing our environmental footprint and working on our social responsibility.

We develop our teams and enhance our intrapreneurial culture, boldness, agility, commitment, customer focus, and transparency.

We aim to reinvent the beauty experience and, together with our customers, support consumers throughout their pathway with the product.

We aim to be the best packaging company for our customers, employees, partners, shareholders, and communities.

Albéa is future-ready.
