The specialist in natural cosmetic active ingredients has presented new data on the effectiveness of Liftilience for the care of textured hair.

Launched in 2024, this phytopolymer provides a triple action combining a film-forming effect, retraction power and adhesion capacity. Derived from chestnuts grown under organic farming conditions in France, Liftilience is composed of functionalized helical biopolymers obtained through a novel technology [1].

According to Silab, a multiparametric assessment demonstrated that this patented active ingredient of natural origin immediately improves curl definition, with results lasting throughout the day.

Curl definition enhancement

A preliminary study on naturally curly locks demonstrated an immediate improvement in the definition of curls. This effect persists up to 8 hours after application.

Liftilience capacity to immediately and durably improve the definition and rebound of natural curls was also validated through a study carried out by expert hairdresser, by combining visual and tactile evaluations. These effects were also perceived by the volunteers themselves through a consumer study conducted on a panel of 90 subjects with wavy or curly hair.

Reduction of frizzy hair

Liftilience also stands out by preventing and limiting frizzy hair. Indeed, immediately after a single application on ex vivo locks, the active ingredient significantly reduces the surface of frizzy hair by 30%. This effect was confirmed by the volunteers themselves, since 68% of them reported that up to 8 hours after application, the appearance of frizzy hair was limited. Hair gloss is also promoted and persists throughout the day, as confirmed by 91% of the volunteers.

At the end of the consumer study, Liftilience was highly appreciated, receiving a mean score of 8.0/10, confirming its interest as a novel and effective natural ingredient in the hair care segment,Silab highlights
