Bassel Kouchacji has joined Takasago as Managing Director Fragrance in the Middle East.
Before joining the Japan-headquartered manufacturer of fragrances and flavors, Kouchacji was Regional Sales Manager Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Levant for Mane’s fragrance division.
Takasago aims to leverage its expertise in fine fragrances and consumer scents to establish a stronger foothold in this strongly competitive market.
“With an impressive international career at Mane and a profound knowledge of the Middle East / GCC markets — including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Levant, Pakistan and beyond — Bassel brings a unique blend of strategic vision, local expertise and olfactive passion to our team,” said said Takasago in a release.
“He has worked closely with local and regional iconic brands in fine and consumer fragrances, contributing to creations that marry tradition and innovation, emotion and precision,” the company added.
This appointment comes on the heels of Émilie Bouge recruitment as Takasago’s new Senior Perfumer at the group’s Paris office, effective April 2025.
