Clelia Angelon, Founder of Surya Brasil

Surya Brasil, a Brazilian leader in natural, organic and vegan cosmetics, has been in the United States for two decades and expects further growth and development in the coming years.

"In our 20 years in the US and Canada, the brand has seen continued growth. In 2017 alone we have grown 92 percent and will continue to grow as we look to the future," says Clelia Angelon, Founder of Surya Brasil. "We are proud to now be available in our latest retailers, Thrive Market and Pharmaca and intend to continue to significantly increase our distribution over the next couple of years. We are also exploring the opportunity of going into mass market in 2018."

This milestone was honoured by a celebratory event at the company headquarters in New Hyde Park, Long Island. Helping to celebrate Surya Brasil’s success and mark the 20 Anniversary, Brazilian vegan ARTivist Nana Indigo has painted the front wall of the company’s Long Island headquarters. She also entertained guests with her artistic skills throughout the event.

The company prides itself on incorporating exotic botanical ingredients from the Amazon and combining them with ancient plants and herbs like Henna to create its best-selling products. Certified Ecocert, Cruelty Free, Vegan, Fair Trade ISO 22176: 2007 and Leaping Bunny, the products contain organic ingredients and are free of animal components and testing, with the aim of combining nature with technology to provide beauty with health. From hair care to colour, to skincare, Surya Brasil reaches consumers who are seeking more sustainable, all-natural lifestyle products.
