The Spanish contract-manufacturer specialised in skincare and depilatories is investing in new facilities for its cosmetics division. In addition, the company renovates and expands the facilities of its hair removal division in Jerez, Andalusia.

The company’s new cosmetics plant will be located in the Parc Sagunt, one of Europe’s largest business parks in Sagunto, Valencia, about twenty kilometres from the current site. It will cover 12,000 square metres, including a cosmetics manufacturing area, a warehouse, and offices and laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment.

Conducted in collaboration with the Sagunto City Council and the Generalitat Valenciana, the project is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2022. Once finished, the new site will employ 100 staffs.

Also, with the support of the Jerez City Council and the Junta de Andalucía, Cosmewax will add 6,000 square metres (3,500 of which will be used for the factory) to its depilatories headquarters in Jerez. The completion of the project is expected during the second quarter of 2020, adding about 30 new jobs to the 200 existing positions.

With these new investments, amounting to 9 million euros, Cosmewax intends to double its current production capacity.

The Spanish company recorded steady growth over the recent years, with record-breaking sales of 31 million euros in 2020. The company forecasts net sales to reach 60 million euros in 2023.
