Seppic, the subsidiary of the Air Liquide group specialising in the development of speciality ingredients for the cosmetic and health market, has won first prize in this year’s Cosmetagora Formulation Competition with its "Melting Caramel Butter" (Beurre Caramel fondant) concept. This competition, organized for the first time by the French Society of Cosmetology (SFC), in conjunction with the Cosmetagora trade show, which was held on 14-15 January in Paris, awards prizes for the most creative formula in terms of concept and texture.

Seppic caramel butter melts smoothly when it is applied, leaving a soft and powdery finish. This refreshing and luxurious formulation for the body is composed of three proprietary active ingredients (Aquaxyl, Sepilift DPHP, Juvenessence AD) and emulsifiers of plant origin (Montanov L and Montanov 14) in combination with a stabilizing thickener (Simulgel INS 100). It imparts a nourishing, moisturizing, and firming effect.

With its innovative appearance, unique texture and original sensorial profile, the Seppic formula (no. EU07261A) enthralled the panel of experts in the beauty field judging the Cosmetagora competition.

"This deluxe body cream is inspired by the ‘Food Mania’ trend, which is being seen in the current keen interest in cooking shows or cooking courses. It brings the same pleasures to the skin as food does to the body," says Riva Brinet, Head of Personal Care Marketing in Europe.
