The global distributor of specialty chemicals has acquired a majority stake in Anders, a regional specialty chemical distributor, leader in South America.
Anders distributes specialty chemicals, food ingredients, consumables, and equipment from leading global suppliers, serving a broad range of life science (Personal, Home Care and Hygiene; Pharmaceutical and Veterinary; Food and Nutrition) and industrial sectors (Coatings, Inks and Adhesives; Converting and Packaging; Construction and Asphalt; Plastics; Paper and Water Treatment, among others). Established in 1964, the company is now in its third generation under the leadership of Peter Anders Hornung. Headquartered in Lima, Peru, it also has offices in Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia and Argentina, as well as operations in Uruguay and Paraguay.
The acquisition of this truly pan–Latin American player complements Safic-Alcan’s existing operations in Brazil.
