The Robertet group, inaugurated its new plant for perfumery compositions last week in Grasse (South of France). The new 12,000 square metre premises represent an investment of 25 million euros, 15 million for construction and 9 million for the equipment and industrial processes.

Highly automated, the new unit will produce 4,000 tons of compositions per year, corresponding to about 1.5 million weigh measurements per year (85% automating weighing, 13% semi-automatic weighing and 2% manual weighing).

In addition to the production area, the site includes a warehouse and a laboratory of about 1000 m2 for the group’s control and quality department.

Robertet generates 45% of its turnover (362.25 million euros in 2010) in the market for food flavourings, 35% in the perfumery market and 20% in the production of natural raw materials.
