Reed Exhibitions has confirmed officially that a Brazilian edition of the in-cosmetics tradeshow will take place at the World Trade Centre in São Paulo from 9-10 September 2014. As all the events of series, in-cosmetics Brasil will be focusing exclusively on personal care ingredients.

The event has received overwhelming support since it was announced to exhibitors at in-cosmetics in Paris. With over 90 exhibitors already placed on the floorplan, it is set to bring local R&D professionals face-to-face with the largest ever gathering of raw materials and ingredients suppliers in the region,” said Reed in a release.

With beauty product sales reaching US$ 42 billion in 2012 and the cosmetics, toiletries and fragrance industry has experienced annual average growth of 10% over the past 17 years, Brazil is putting it on a pace to overtake Japan as the world’s second-largest beauty market within a few years.

International suppliers such as BASF, Croda and Merck, Brazilian suppliers such as Beraca, Chemyunion and Oxiteno and local distributors such as Dinaco, Ion, M.Cassab and quantiQ have already confirmed their participation,” said Lucy Gillam, Exhibition Director.

ABIHPEC, the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Industry, is collaborating with Reed Exhibition on this project. “ABIHPEC works for the strengthening of the Brazilian market and consolidation of these industries in the international market. in-cosmetics Brasil will have all the support of ABIHPEC, in order to have a great event,” commented João Carlos Basilio da Silva, ABIHPEC’s president.

In addition to Brazilian brands, in-cosmetics Brasil will also target selected buyers and senior R&D professionals from other key Latin American markets, in particular Columbia, Venezuela, Argentina and Peru.
