Recently launched by Éva Lagarde, former marketing and sales director at Premium Beauty News, re/sources is an online education service designed to help beauty brands to implement sustainability into their portfolio.

Sustainability is no longer an option in the beauty industry,” says Eva Lagarde, re/source founder. “Whether you’re a legacy brand, an independent or a start-up brand, the savvy consumer is now looking for full ‘transparency-responsibility’ from the people they’re buying from.

In such a context, re/sources aims to provide neutral, fact-checked information, and implementable solutions to help marketing, product development, R&D, and innovations directors take control back into their product development needs, in just 5-modules of online educational program about sustainability.

It’s very difficult to know how to tackle sustainability and where to start so I want to take the headache out of the product development and give beauty brands informed guidance, support and the tools they need to implement the most effective sustainability strategy,” adds Lagarde. “Through the platform, NPD professionals will connect and learn with hand-picked experts, to find relevant sustainable solutions to gain insightful and implementable knowledge suitable to their brand and market.

The online platform offers a range of courses with interactive learning and includes the following subject matters (with an average of 10 sub-topic per module):

Module 1 - Sustainable packaging
Module 2 - Sustainable formulation
Module 3 - Sustainable certifications and labels
Module 4 - Marketing of sustainability
Module 5 - Sustainable retail of beauty

re/sources will work on a monthly membership contract where subscribers are free to book a bundle of five modules at once, or pay only one module at a time.

For each module, a selection of experts has been invited to talk about their experiences, share best learnings and practices on a series of online interactive content (a mix of video content, but also reports, quizzes, etc.).

When clients sign up to the program, they will get access to innovation experts, packaging specialists, formulation specialists, but also legal advisors and many, many more. “These industry experts will deep dive into the issues at stake when developing beauty products and bring content to help guide, support, build and implement best solutions,” concludes Lagarde.

To make the platform more interactive there will also be Q&A live sessions with experts for subscribers, and a networking forum will also be available.

The first module (packaging) will be available to the first selected cohort of professionals from the 22nd of March. You can apply online at an early bird rate on www.re-sources.co. Detailed presentation of re/sources, and detailed program of the modules are also available on the website.
