The Barcelona-based cosmetics and fashion group recorded a 7% increase in sales during the first nine months of the year, reaching 3.6 billion euros (about 4.15 US dollars) on a like-for-like basis (excluding currency fluctuations).

In reported terms, sales were up 4.9% compared with the same period last year, reflecting unfavorable currency movements.

Puig markets prestige and luxury perfume and cosmetics brands, including Rabanne, Byredo, Uriage, Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Charlotte Tillbury, Penhaligon’s and Apivita.

The Fragrance & Fashion segment, which accounts for 73% of the group’s revenue, saw slower growth during the period (+6.4% like-for-like, +4.1% reported). Meanwhile, Makeup sales (16% of the group’s revenue) rose by 8.3% like-for-like (+6.4% reported), and Skincare sales (11% of Puig revenue) grew by 9.2% (+8.1% reported).
