Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions has opened visitor pre-registration for PCHi 2027, which will take place from 24 to 26 February 2027 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. Ahead of the event, the organizer also launched the call for entries for the PCHi Fountain Awards 2027, highlighting innovation in cosmetic ingredients and formulation technologies.
Positioned as the first major beauty ingredients exhibition of the year, PCHi brings together formulators, brand owners, R&D professionals, regulatory specialists and buyers from China and across the Asia-Pacific region. The 2026 edition attracted more than 50,000 trade visitors and over 860 exhibitors from 72 countries and regions.
Science-backed beauty in the spotlight
The 2027 edition will reflect one of the industry’s strongest trends: the growing demand for scientifically validated ingredients and efficacy claims. As brands increasingly seek to support product performance with biological mechanisms, clinical data and regulatory compliance, PCHi aims to provide a platform where suppliers, researchers and formulators can exchange technical expertise.
The exhibition will span seven halls dedicated to ingredient and formulation innovation, alongside the PCHi Annual Industry Conference, technical forums and networking events.
Fountain Awards recognize ingredient innovation
Innovation will also take center stage through the PCHi Fountain Awards, whose entries are now open to exhibitors. Created in 2010 and renamed in 2017, the awards recognize breakthrough ingredient technologies and formulation advances across five categories: Active Ingredients, Pioneering Innovative Ingredients, Formulation & Functional Ingredients, Green/Sustainable solutions, and Self-Developed Ingredients from finished-product brands and OEM/ODM companies.
For the 2027 edition, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions has introduced a refined evaluation framework built around five criteria: technical excellence, scientific validity, efficacy and safety, practical application and market potential, and the quality of supporting documentation.
The judging panel includes representatives from regulatory bodies, industry associations, universities, major beauty brands and members of the Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC).
Only PCHi 2027 exhibitors are eligible to submit entries. Products must have been launched on or after 1 November 2025, and each company may submit up to three products. The submission deadline is 23 November 2026, finalists will be announced in late January 2027, and winners will be unveiled during the PCHi Fountain Awards Ceremony on 24 February 2027, the opening day of the exhibition.
