Mádara, a Latvian brand of organic and natural skin, hair and baby care products, has shifted to PCR (post-consumer recycled material) plastic tubes for its new hair and hand care creams. Mádara’s aim was to reflect into packaging the exacting ethical standards of the brand, which contains organically-certified natural extracts from plants growing in the Northern region.

The haircare range uses 200ml and 50mm diameter tubes whilst the hand cream comes in a 75ml and 35mm diameter tube, both tubes are manufactured from 60% PCR. A metallic effect green was selected to reflect the green product credentials, with the colour coordinated rounded caps completing the product’s attractive premium image.

The tubes and the caps were supplied and printed by M&H Plastics. The British supplier of plastic bottles, jars, flexible tubes and closures has made significant investments in its tubes business over the past 18 months and can now manufacture and decorate a million tubes a week.
