On the 1st of May 2014, the German company Oekametall became Oeka Oehlhorn GmbH & Co. KG.

While, in the 1950s the company was produced mostly metal items, for technical components (stamped or cut pieces) and cosmetic packaging (capsules, lipstick, etc.), in the early 1960s, the introduction and development of injection techniques, led to a growing production of plastic components, which soon became predominant in sectors such as cosmetic packaging.

While the company wants to intensify the use of its expertise in the fields of metal and plastic processing, including the finishing of surfaces and assembly techniques, the management team considered that the Oekametall name could be misleading for new customers and prospects.
