The New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) has announced its new executive board for 2021.
The announcement was made by Giorgino Macalino, Chairman, NYSCC and Manager, Makeup Innovation, The Estée Lauder Companies. The 2021 NYSCC Executive Board includes:
– Chair, Susanna Fernandes, Lead E-Sales Executive, TRI-K
– Advisor/Past Chairman, Giorgino “Gino” Macalino, Manager, Makeup Innovation, The Estée Lauder Companies
– Treasurer, Mohamed Abdulla, Account Manager- HPC-East Coast, Oxiteno
– Secretary, Leor Fay Tal, Technical Marketing Leader, Gattefossé USA
– Chair-Elect, Giorgio Dell’Acqua, Founder. Dellacqua Consulting
“I am proud to take over from my predecessor who kept the Chapter a vibrant source of engagement and education during this unprecedented and challenging year,” said Susanna Fernandes, incoming Chair, NYSCC. “What is ahead for us professionally and personally, is still not clear, but with the help of the new board, committee members and committed volunteers we will continue to keep the NYSCC’s activities essential to our members.”
Concerning the 2021 program of events - including symposiums, webinars and the Suppliers’ Day - NYSCC said it will embody the theme of “Embracing Beauty” with the aim to celebrate what NYSCC members create.
A double format for Suppliers’ Day
In addition, NYSCC Show Management is implementing strategies, programs and partnerships for a blended Suppliers’ Day experience, taking place May 4-5, 2021 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. “In addition to a safe in person trade show and conference, Suppliers’ Day will also have digital and virtual offerings to reach, inform, and engage the largest audience possible,” the said NYSCC.
The official 2021 Executive Board Installation took place at the conclusion of the NYSCC At Home Live Webinar on “Clean Beauty” on November 19th. The installation was conducted by Mark Chandler the SCC’s Treasurer and new Vice President–Elect, becoming President in 2023.
