Symrise Fine Fragrance has announced the appointment of Nicolas Beaulieu as Vice-President Senior Perfumer, effective October 6th, 2025.
Trained at ISIPCA and the IFF Perfumery School, Nicolas Beaulieu has worked in various locations, including New York and Shanghai, before returning to Paris in 2008. He most recently held the role of Vice President Perfumer at International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF).
Over the course of his career, he has focused on the luxury segment, signing fragrances such as Rabanne Invictus Legend, Carolina Herrera Bad Boy Le Parfum and several flankers of La Vie Est Belle.
“His addition consolidates the Paris creative hub as a cornerstone of Symrise’s global strategy in luxury perfumery, (…) at a time of strong momentum,” said the company in a statement.
Outside of perfumery, his interests in gastronomy, wine, and history serve as further sources of inspiration for his compositions. Originally drawn to archaeology and sciences, Nicolas Beaulieu often describes himself as an “archaeologist of scent”, seeking to reveal the layers of complexity hidden within each ingredient. His work is guided by a desire to surprise, sculpt the unexpected.
“Nicolas’s arrival is a powerful statement of Symrise’s ambition in fine fragrance. His creative strength will be key to driving our growth in prestige, and the perfect catalyst to set new standards for the industry,” commented Julianne Pruett, Global President of Symrise Fine Fragrance.
