Brazilian cosmetics company Natura Cosméticos has appointed David Boynton as chief executive officer of Britain’s The Body Shop. Boynton will replace Jeremy Schwartz, effective December 04, 2017.
Since 2016, Mr. David Boynton has been the CEO of the British men’s clothing chain, Charles Tyrwhitt. Previously, he has held for ten years several leading positions in the French cosmetics brand L’Occitane, which has retail business model quite similar to the one of The Body Shop and is very successful on the Brazilian market.
The hire comes just weeks after Brazilian firm Natura completed the purchase of The Body Shop from L’Oréal, in a deal which gave the beauty products retailer a EUR1 billion enterprise value.
