Molton Brown is the latest brand making a foray into the fragrance business. The premium British beauty brand, known for its luxury bath and bodycare products, is launching a unisex fragrance line this on September 18.

The Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette collection will comprise 27 fragrances that have been dreamed up to fit the brief "made by individuals, for individuals."

The brand, which is owned by the Kao group, was first founded in 1971. It currently offers bath and shower gels, hand washes and hair care products, and holds a Royal Warrant for the supply of toiletries by appointment to Her Majesty, the Queen.

The move signals the arrival of another major new addition to the fragrance sector, following on from the recent announcement that the luxury designer Monique Lhuillier has partnered up with The Premiere Group to launch fragrances in 2020. Fashion editor Carine Roitfield also launched a set of travel-inspired perfumes earlier this year, while Hollywood actress Michelle Pfeiffer unveiled ’Henry Rose,’ a new line of scents that aims to be completely transparent about its ingredients, back in April.
