The Mibelle Group will purchase P&G’s (Procter & Gamble) Ondal Sarl production site in Sarreguemines, France. The acquisition will be effective on 31 July 2016.

As of 31 July 2016 the Mibelle Group will purchase P&G’s Ondal Sarl production site in Sarreguemines, France.
The Mibelle Group ranks number 3 in the European private label market, has around 1000 employees at three facilities (Buchs AG, Frenkendorf BL in Switzerland and Bradford in England) and generates sales in the region of EUR 432 million.

This operation follows P&G’s decision to withdraw from the high-end fragrance and personal care markets. In July 2015, the US group agreed to merge more than 40 of its beauty brands with perfume specialist Coty. “Many of these brands are manufactured at Ondal Sarl. As a result of the close customer relationship between P&G and the Mibelle Group of recent years, this situation presented an attractive opportunity,” explained the Swiss-based company specialising in full-service customer brand manufacturing for the personal care, home care and nutrition markets.

Ondal employs around 180 people and specialises the production of retail and professional hair care products, hair shades and face and body care products. This production site has modern equipment and technologies which will allow the Mibelle Group to expand its existing product range.

All the P&G employees will be retained and it will continue to manufacture there for P&G and also for Coty, assuming the closing of P&G’s merger with Coty Inc.
