Metsä Board completes its offering with a new liner

Metsä Board is introducing a new liner at Luxe Pack 2013. Modo Northern Light is a lightweight, uncoated liner with high whiteness, ideal for microflute and small pack sizes.

As all Metsä Board’s products, Modo Northern Light is made from fresh fibres grown in sustainably managed Nordic forests. This new fully bleached, lightweight and uncoated liner with high whiteness, is suitable both for outer and inner packaging in high-quality applications such as beautycare.

Modo Northern Light comes in a low substance range from 80-160 g/m2 making it fully consistent with Metsä Board’s strategy to develop lightweight products that have both reduced transportation costs and a lower environmental impact.

According to Metsä Board, the new liner printability is excellent, with high contrast.

This new product complements our product range by providing even more options for our customers,” says Christophe Baudry, Commercial Director Beautycare & Healthcare, Metsä Board Paperboard. “Modo Northern Light helps meet demand for lighter-weight packaging and opens up exciting opportunities for combining a lighter liner with fluting in innovative ways.

Modo Northern Light is manufactured at Metsä Board’s Husum mill in Sweden, which holds PEFC and FSC chain of custody certification.
