Medicos’ patented Re-Click refillable jar inspired the packaging specifically developed for Lierac’s Lift Integral Day Cream 50 ml.
This packaging combines a custom-designed 50 ml square refillable jar made from double-wall glass containing 40% PCR material (produced by Gerresheimer) with a Re-Click refill cup, easily removable thanks to a rotation-based locking system with integrated notches inside the jar.
The engineering behind the Re-Click patent anticipates glass tolerance variations, ensuring a smooth and intuitive refill replacement gesture for the consumer, in line with the expected perception of value, while also ensuring the reliability of filling and packaging operations.
The frosted glass finish with label, together with the Lierac logo, embossed on the black PP cap and silk-screen printed on the refill cup seal, defines the elegance of this sustainable skincare packaging. The jar and the cap, although recyclable, are retained, while the PP refill cup and its seal are recycled.
As a reminder, Medicos offers a broad and diversified range of refillable jars in glass and premium plastics. This portfolio is structured around three lines of refillable plastic jars (Lighteo, LW, Luxeo) with refill cups, and three reusable glass or 40% PCR glass jars, including the 50 ml refillable jar, available with PP or sealable RPP refill cups, patented Re-Click. Fully customizable, the collection allows for silk-screen printing, hot stamping, pad printing, lacquering and metallization.
With the objective of reducing the container’s carbon footprint, significant work has been done on the thickness of the neck and the walls of the jar and the cup, reducing weight and volume while maintaining the same capacity.
