The second edition of MakeUp in Sao Paulo hits the city this December. The tradeshow dedicated to the suppliers of makeup brands will open its doors on 8-9 December at the Centro de Convençoes Rebouças (Av. Rebouças, 600 - Pinheiros, São Paulo, Brazil).

Makeup accounts for 7.7 percent of the country’s cosmetics industry in total, with the biggest share being taken up by nails, at 28 percent. Lip, face and eye products account for 24 percent each of the market. Thanks to increasingly intelligent solutions such as lighter coverage foundation and multi-purpose products, Brazilian women are increasingly interested in makeup products.

A guide to innovation at the show entrance

Visitors of MakeUp in Sao Paulo will be guided throughout the event to discover the make-up innovations presented by exhibitors.

In the entrance hall of the event, the Innovation Tree Products will present the most innovative products - selected by a Committee of expert - among the twenty innovations introduced by the following companies: Adhespack, Baralan, Chromavis, Cosfibel, Cosmogen, Faber-Castell Cosmetics, Intercos, Polychromatic, Sleever International and Strand Cosmetics.

The Innovation Tree Products will also direct visitors to the exhibitors’ stands, where they will be able to test each of the products. To better spot them, an IT Products label will appear both on the stand of the exhibitors concerned and on the floor plan.

Educational program

The second edition of MakeUp in Sao Paulo will comprise a series of conferences dealing with the evolution consumer’s behaviour in Brazil. Topics up for discussion include: "Foundation: the ’extra-liquid’ revolution", "Nail polish: what’s up in Brazil?" and "Makeup for men without labels". The show will also look at new formulas for lipstick and mascara, connected beauty and the hottest new Brazilian brands on the market.
