The 2014 edition of MakeUp in New York, the trade event dedicated to suppliers of the makeup industry in North America, broke all previous records. Indeed, the event, which was held on 23 and 24 September at the 548 Center, has welcomed more than 2163 visitors, an increase of 42% over the previous year. Conferences, gathering more than 600 people over two days, also enjoyed tremendous success.
This year, MakeUp in New York also hosted 22 more exhibitors, an increase of 30% compared to 2013.
“There was every reason to believe that this fourth edition of MakeUp in New York was going to be a great vintage, given the list of pre-registered visitors,” explained Sandra Maguarian, Beauteam.
Visitorship and quality, were the ones expected. Exhibitors interviewed by Premium Beauty News confirmed they were delighted to have been able to meet buyers from the East Coast of the United States, but also from Canada and California.
“All stakeholders in the make-up industry unanimously agree to say that the MakeUp in New York concept is an event whose ‘format’ is by far the most efficient when compared to other global events in the Beauty sector,” highlights Jean-Yves Bourgeois, co-founder of the event.
Furthermore, the cocktail party organized on September 23 at the New York Athletic Club will be remembered as a great moment of conviviality and exchanges.
