MakeUp in Action, the new event dedicated to makeup brands and suppliers, will open its doors on February 3rd and 4th, 2016 at Quixote Studios in Los Angeles, California.

Participants will have the choice between 8 workshops and 5 conferences on trends, new products or developments with top industry experts.

Dr. Luisa Oliva, Jean-Louis Mathiez and Jean-Claude Le Joliff assisted by specialists, will lead the workshops and address issues concerning the development of make-up products across all segments, from the formula to the packaging, including applicators, and of course nail polishes.

In addition, a selection of exhibitors will present their innovations at these workshops.

Bright colored products for the lips: solid and liquid lipsticks. The lip stain category. The crazy effects: shimmering, matt and glossy extremes. We will go through galenics, components, formulation trends and their implementation.

10:30am - 11:30pm: Workshop on eye packaging
Mascara packaging: latest brush developments. Revolutionary mascara "dispensers". Are they ready to be launched? Eyelids & eyebrows also require new applicators…

11:45am - 12:45pm: Workshop on eye formulas
Mascaras, eye shadows and eyebrows: with very different textures. We will go through galenics, components, formulation trends and their implementation.

11:45am - 12:45pm: Workshop on lip packaging
Diversity of lip applicators: how to manage this category? Is the classic twist mechanism still the best solution for solid lipstick? Any new dispensing solution for solid, pasty & liquid bulks?

The continual leading trend in nails right now is high shine and long wear. In nail polish and gel trends, the nude nail is huge in 2015. Soft, demure, neutral color shades are on trend this year and beyond.
